Yachts moored off the Monaco waterfront

Monaco

Late May for the Grand Prix, late September for the Yacht Show. Our nearest partner property is the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel.

Monaco is two square kilometres and the calendar decides everything. The Grand Prix takes a weekend in late May and the Yacht Show takes four days in late September. In both weeks the principality is effectively sold out and rates behave accordingly. For Monaco without the crush, come in April, early June or October, when the weather still holds.

Nice Cote d'Azur is the arrival airport for private aircraft, and the seven-minute helicopter transfer to the Fontvieille heliport is the standard connection. Arriving by sea into Port Hercule is the alternative, and berths for event weeks have to be committed months ahead.

We are candid about hotels here: none of our preferred partners operates inside the principality, which is largely served by one local group. What we use instead is the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel, twenty minutes west on its own peninsula. It gives members a quiet base and a short transfer in and out. For incentive groups and celebrations we more often charter, and the yacht becomes both the accommodation and the terrace.

Monaco is one of the three destinations OUIJETS names for incentive travel, alongside Necker Island and the Swiss Alps. Ask your advisor about Grand Prix terrace access and Yacht Show viewings, both of which are requested a season in advance.
