Necker Island

Whole-island buyouts in the British Virgin Islands. December to April is the reliable window. No partner hotel here; the island itself is the property.

Necker Island is a private island in the British Virgin Islands, taken either as a whole-island buyout or during the shared Celebration Weeks when individual rooms are released. Guests are spread across the Great House and the Balinese houses, and the model is closer to a private estate than a hotel: one staff team, one guest party, nobody else on the island.

December to April is the reliable window, with dry trade winds and flat water inside the reef. June to November is Atlantic hurricane season and we do not place celebrations inside it. May and late November are the value shoulders.

Members arrive at Beef Island on Tortola, or into St Thomas or San Juan for larger aircraft, then transfer by boat or helicopter. OUIJETS handles the BVI clearance and the tender schedule so the group moves in one piece.

None of our preferred hotel partners operates in the BVI, and here that is not a gap: the island is the accommodation. Where members want a second base in the region we use Rosewood Le Guanahani on St Barths, about an hour away by light aircraft.

Necker is one of the three destinations OUIJETS names for incentive travel, alongside Monaco and the Swiss Alps. It is at its best for a milestone birthday, a company offsite of twenty to thirty people, or a multi-generational family week.
